Retail investors now play a significant role in equity capital markets, representing >25% of U.S. trading volumes.

However, equity research has not evolved to meet their needs, and thousands of companies are struggling to gain their attention.

'Shareflix' is a platform that gives investors the ability to discover new stocks, and access cutting-edge research & tools, so that they can make more informed investment decisions.

The platform generates valuable primary data for PLCs, enabling them to better understand the retail investor audience and develop cohesive strategies to engage and grow their own investor community, ultimately, unlocking a new source of capital and liquidity.

Equity research, re-invented

The way in which companies and brokers present equity stories hasn’t changed in decades! We’re on a mission to bring equity research into the modern era.

Our proprietary ‘Showcases’ help investors make more informed investment decisions. The Showcases outline the bull & bear case in jargon-free language, aggregate & curate the very best traditional and social content on the stock that an investor might need, and provides bespoke AI tools and external insights to help investors validate their decision.

The digital nature of our platform means it generates a vast amount of primary data on the retail investor cohort which is incredibly valuable to PLCs and forms the basis of our monetisation model.

Market opportunity

The platform aims to showcase unique & underexposed equity stories to investors.

There are currently ~55,000 publicly listed companies that trade on global stock exchanges. Outside of the Mag7 and the very largest capitalised companies, PLCs are desperate to find ways to attract new sources of capital and liquidity.

With average IR spend on a corporate broker ~£75k p.a., this creates a £4bn total addressable market opportunity in this one revenue stream alone. We are targeting 1.5% market penetration i.e. 900 PLCs on our enterprise SaaS model which suggests £20m ARR within 4-5 years.

Our unique investor community

We have already scaled a unique community of professional investors to 300 members, the Curation Collective, collectively representing >$250bn AUM.

This network has some of the world’s most successful and sophisticated equity investors sharing their knowledge and insights in real time. The Curation Collective model portfolio recorded ~48% return in 2024.

We have the opportunity to leverage this network and facilitate the transfer of knowledge from Pro’s to Retail investors.

Near term

Scaling Monthly Active Users

2025 & 2026 will be focused on acquiring & retaining users on our platform, ultimately achieving product-market fit. The more engaged users we have, the more valuable our primary data set becomes, which will improve rate of adoption and monetisation with PLCs.

Medium term

Scaling Content

To increase our coverage of global stocks we plan to partner with corporate brokers and investment banks, many of whom have already approached us and we are in early stage discussions with. This is not only a path to scaling content but rapidly increases our rate of monetisation as these existing players seek to differentiate themselves with retail offerings.

Trading platform integrations

The execution/brokerage platforms such as Robinhood, E-Toro, WeBull, CMC Markets, Hargreaves Lansdowne, Charles Schwab, have 100s of millions of users investing directly. We are already exploring partnerships and integrations with these platforms in order to access our target demographic at scale. Thanks to the connectivity of our Board and the Curation Collective, we have a distinct advantage in getting access to the decision-makers of these platforms.

Successfully attracting both investors and companies will provide the capital to continuously invest & innovate our technology and advertise the platform.

What are the key risks & challenges?

Large AI platforms such as ChatGPT will eventually be able to surface accurate investment insights and analysis for users. Whilst these platforms are improving at a rapid pace, we don’t believe that they fundamentally solve some of the key problems investors face when making an investment decision, such as discovery, or validation from experts, nor do they generate/commercialise the primary data that is valuable for companies.

What is the commercial model?

Shareflix is completely free for consumers.

We operate a similar commercial model to Trustpilot which has a scalable product for consumers, and then monetises corporates via a tiered SaaS model.

We charge PLCs £10k p.a. to receive our primary data & analytics on their company. We then have a tiered upsell approach as companies can pay for more insights and for further distribution across our platform and beyond, ranging up to £10k-£15k per month, per client.

What is your user acquisition strategy?

We have two key user acquisition strategies.

The first approach is partnering with other platforms that already have a significant audience of our target users, such as trading platforms like WeBull (20m investors) or CMC Markets, with whom we are already in early stages of discussions.

Secondly, given that the online investor community is very sizeable and very powerful, e.g. WallStreetBets (17m members), we plan to use affiliate marketing to unlock rapid user acquisition. Longer term, we will look to drive organic growth via content and event marketing channels which have worked very well in similar industries like Web3 and crypto.

How does the Curation Collective fit in?

Our network of 300 professional investors, collectively representing $250-$300bn AUM, serves two key roles:

    irstly we will share their expertise, ideas & insights to the users of our platform, effectively transferring knowledge from institutional to retail investors.
